Momo and I had to run some errands last weekend. After we finished what we were suppose to do, she said she was hungry. We decided to get something light. It was tea time at 3pm. We were at Marina Square, so we walked over to the food section to grab something to eat. It was an easy decision. Momo said she liked the food at Imperial Treasure and so we walked in.
Momo ordered this dish called the Soup Rice.
This was the Soup Rice with Vegetables and Mushroom $5.00
I teased her when the food arrived. This can easily be done at home! Over night rice mixed with stock and vegetables and you have this dish!
But she said this dish was really nice here. It has the home cooked taste and she liked it.
I tried a spoonful of the soup, the soup’s not bad, the broth was rather tasty.
(I think it’s too simple and I can do the same thing at home for $1 LOL..)
Momo also ordered the Wanton with Hot Chilli Sauce ($4.80) to go with her porridge.
I know I won’t be able to prepare the next dish at home as good as them. So I think it’s worth ordering.
The hot chilli sauce is not as spicy, but it has this slight vinegary taste. It goes very well with the wontons!
We were on a Wanton eating spree! We also ordered the Pork and Vegetable Wanton Soup ($4.50).
It tasted similar to the Wanton in Hot Chilli Sauce. The wantons were a bit firmer compared to the other bowl. But the soup’s not nice though. It’s just ‘plain soup’, which I only had 1 mouth of it. I finished the whole bowl of wantons by myself though. I like the texture of the wanton. Smooth silky skin and wrapped inside a mixture of meat and vegetable that gives it a rather nice bite.
